You were music

I suppose I should have forgotten you by now
but just like a beautiful song
you keep replying in my mind

You were the melody
that rocked my life,
If I had written different lyrics
would you still be mine?

But somewhere into our song
the beat got messed up
and I couldn't sing along
harmony broke appart

If life were a pentagram
you'd be the notes on it,
if you were my melody
I'd be your poetry

You were music,
music for my life

Now that everything is over
there's no use on making a cover,
the only version I need
is the sweet song that you sing

But now your lips just sync
with another woman's beat
and all it's left to me
is clap with the audiency

But even I can hear
that your music isn't as before,
even if we are no longer a song
still you loved me the most

If life were a pentagram
you'd be the notes on it,
if you were my melody
I'd be your poetry

You were music,
music for my life

I was poetry,
poetry for your life

You know what they say?
the most beautiful songs you compose now
are sad love songs
I wonder why

The music you play
is not for the woman by your side
she lip syncs
but she can't sing

But still she stands by you,
the only thing left from me
is being sad poetry

If life were a pentagram
you'd be the notes on it,
if you were my melody
I'd be your poetry

You were music,
music for my life

I was poetry,
poetry for your life

You were the notes on my life
I was the rithm on your guitar,
you were the music, I was the voice
and together we sang

But somehow our tangled heartstrings
came loose
all is left are just replays while we take
a different bus

If life were a pentagram
you'd be the notes on it,
if you were my melody
I'd be your poetry

You were music,
music for my life

I was poetry,
poetry for your life

All is left is to replay
our memories CD
over and over again

All is left from you and me
is a sad love song
and broken harmony

All is left from you and me..
