The knight's promise

Long time ago
I made a promise
I'd be by your side
come what may,
since then
many days have come
and gone away
but the same feeling remains.

My body will be your armour
when danger comes to your place,
my chest will be your harbour
when your tears needs to sail,
my arm will be your sword
when enemies walk your way.

I'll kneel in front of you
or stand besides you,
I'll be light or shadow
as your whises come true
I'll protect your body
and shield your dreams,
no harm may aproach you,
nor sorrow, nor blur,
you light my shadows
I protect your body and soul.

And I'll always stand by you,
 in the path of dreams
cause I am your knight
and you are my queen.
