Can't live without...

An old man on a book
taught me
that a human being
cannot live
without someone to love.

Did the lesson come too late?

As I am walking away
pain engulfs me.
If this is love,
if this is the right choice
why does it hurt so much?

I know
I'll come back to yesterday
over and over again,
to dream while living
to live while dreaming,
to make yesterday today
to make a today with no tomorrow.

"I wish today was my whole life"
you said,
the saddest prelude to goodbye,
"Let's make today last until tomorrow"
I said,
a bittersweet interlude to farewell.

The tears twinkle in your eyes,
stars on the night sky,
"Smile"
-I command-
and you obligue,
your painful happiness
mirroring mine.

If this is love,
if this is the right choice
why does it hurt so much?

The sky above our naked skin,
the sky shinig upon our entangled bodies,
the sky is azure blue.

Our feelings are azure blue.

If this is love,
if this is the right choice
why does it hurt so much?

"Just a little more"
-you ask-
in vain,
you try to strecht on today,
but we both know,
oh, we both know,
that at the end of today
there's always waiting tomorrow.

Our entangled feelings
reach out to the azure sky,
and tomorrow comes,
you don't even know,
you close your eyes
and when they open
I'm already gone.

How do you feel?
Waking to a today
that left today behind?
When today becomes yesterday,
knowing that yesterday
will always be today for us?

How do you feel?
Waking to a today where we are not,
to a tomorrow where we won't be,
leaving yesterday behind,
the time where we will forever live?

As I walk away
pain engulfs me.
If this is love,
if this is the right choice
why does it hurt so much?

Can we live without loving?

An old man on a book
taught me
that a human being
cannot live
without someone to love.

The lesson came too late.

I chose for it to come
a day too late,
when we were not,
when today was yesterday.
